This turned out very cute. The recipient was thrilled. She's a first time Grandma and can't wait to deliver it. All the ladies at the Thursday night group made the squares and I crocheted them together and crocheted the border. It was fun to do. I think group projects like this have a lot of love in them.

it turned out just wonderful! I love the groups effort! so special!
What a precious project. About your comment on stitching under oaks'blog==re: retirement. I started with ToDo lists, and since I'm a visual person, I highlighted the completed tasks. But I made the error of making the list items too general, so often they didn't get finished. So I broke them down into component tasks, so I could highlight lots. That was better. But i kept adding to the list, so it never got shorter. Now I make "Done" lists only, except during our greenhouse season where nothing but the greenhouse work gets done.
I just love your afghan! What a lucky lady to receive this precious gift.
Blessings,
G
P.S. Maybe you would post in the future the details of how this was made -- size of blocks, etc.? I'd love to know how to make one.
