Harvest

Our garden has been so much fun this summer. I just kept picking peppers until the pot was full. I never knew how easy stuffed peppers were to make. We enjoy them often now.
The leftover pepper parts for sausage with peppers and onions later this week.

The tomatoes look a bit beat up but we've had a lot of beautiful ones too.

One of our 2 pumpkins. These were a bonus from the compost we used to fill the garden.
I hope they last till Halloween.
All in all this garden was a huge success. We have ideas for different things. More zucchini, earlier start on some lettuce etc. I just think it's fun to be able to go out in my yard and pick enough food for dinner.

fun is right!! I'm not sure I could maintain a garden, but I sure would enjoy passing up those vegetable prices in the grocery! what a bounty!!

you've got a wonderful bounty! Love that pumpkin peeking out. I love stuffed peppers...I need to make those sometime soon.

There is definitely a real sense of satisfaction in picking dinner right from the garden. I'm going to miss my cucumbers and herbs in another few weeks. I tried to grow pumpkins once, but just before picking time they rotted. I'm not sure why. I hope you have better luck -- so far, that one is looking good.

Well, you did good, B! I just bought a few tomato & pepper plants for fall planting, but I'm not much of a gardener ;-(. Hope we get a few at least.
Blessings,
