Blizzard of Grannies

The Jolly Bee was asking what we do to stay cool  and it got me thinking. I always say this weather is just like a blizzard. I'm cool thanks to our beautiful air conditioning but I've become restless because going outside is so disgusting. So out came my granny squares. I haven't worked on this in ages. A few more hours and squares on the couch and I was wondering how big my afghan was now. So downstairs at 10:30pm I lay out all the squares I've made so far. I check out how big it will be and how the colors go together. It's probably half way done and there are 154 squares. I'm going to hold off on some of the neon colors and add lots more gold. I'm also going to have lots of yarn leftover. All good!
Today I'm going to do some aerobic house cleaning. Then maybe more granny squares. Hopefully only a day or two more and we can go back outside again.

Lovely. You know grannies have stolen away my heart. Yours look so beautiful. So cheery! That's the beauty of the granny -- you can pick them up and do a few and move on to something else. Thanks for the shout-out. And I'm loving the cooler weather this morning.
