Changes

This was Saturday. Since then I have the feeling it might be spring. We have lots of green leaves and beautiful sky. Yesterday when I was walking the dogs it was warm and the snow was melting off the roofs. It's like a little time warp until you look at the calendar and see that Thanksgiving is coming faster than I can believe.

Things are changing around here. My husband has a new job. Instead of different shifts everyday he now will work 9-5. Great change and I want to be the supportive wife.  I'm thinking that's not easy. I'm not used to making dinner every night. If I examine my housecleaning there is lots of room for improvement. I have always wanted to be "June Cleaver" but I'm beginning to think that's hard to live up to. I'm committing myself to trying to be a better homemaker and we'll see where it leads me.

My husband works odd shifts at his newspaper....It would be mighty strange to have him home after 5 pm. Good luck with your new routine. June Cleaver is not a good role model, so don't try to live up to that one!

Good luck with your new schedule. I used to aspire to be June Cleaver too, but not so much now. Oddly enough it would be easier now that my kids are grown and gone but at my advanced age I just don't have the energy!

Isn't funny how you want your husband around when he's not there and then when he is, the adjustments are hard. Happened here too.
