A Sweet Blanket

A mom was crocheting this for her baby. The baby was born and the blanket was never finished. Now it's finished and ready for a grandchild one day. I do love the stories behind the projects. This is a sweet one.

wonderful blessings are bound up in that blanket for sure...how neat that it jumped a generation and will be enjoyed by grandbabies.

How I love grannies! This is such a precious one and how nice that you had a hand in it. I love the scalloped border.

Beth, you are such a treasure! That's a beautiful little blankie, and I know you did a perfect job of finishing it for this lucky family.
I love that my granddaughters have (and use) a little granny square doll blanket that I made for their mom 30+ years ago (the one good thing about acrylic yarn -- durability ;-). There's something so sweet and satisfying about seeing little things like this pass from generation to generation, isn't there?

p.s. I love the way the squares are joined. Did you crochet them together?
