Last Friday my friend and I took an impromptu field trip to Terrain. It is a beautiful landscape nursery, gift shop and restaurant. The property is right next to a small highway but once inside you forget about the long ride and the highway. It was one beautiful thing after another. I am interested in shops and retail business and this one is extraordinary. Everything was well set up and well cared for it was pleasant to shop there. We had fun checking out the sales. Lunch was delicious and refreshing and then we concentrated on the purchasing. This was my treat along with some raw honey. Many many years ago when I was in my first apartment this was my first house plant. I called it a Persian Violet but now it's an Exacum. The black tin pot was on sale and the combo made a great centerpiece for a small dinner part we had Saturday night.
I think I maybe doing some Christmas shopping there. Terrain has a great website here.

Sounds like a good day out. Definitely a perfect centerpiece for a table.
What a wonderful field trip....sounds like my kind of fun day. I love your Exacum. I've had one before and I loved the delicate little blooms it sports...the pot you chose is perfect.
a shopping day with a good friend, one of my favorite things to do. enjoy remembering times gone by and moments yet to come as you tend to your new plant.
