Without a Car Part 1

My first project was to make fall pillow covers. A few weeks ago I realized that instead of buying new pillows or pillow forms all I had to do was take the covers off the pillows I have and make new covers. Luckily I had purchased the fabric before the car died so this was the perfect time to sew. I just made envelope closures on the back, no zippers. Some of the backs don't quite meet because I was too scrimpy on the fabric purchase but I'll figure out a way to keep them closed. I'm thinking buttons or bows. I have a plain gold one that I'm going to take to the monogrammer to have an M put on. Now I'm thinking of Christmas/winter pillows. I like dreaming up the ideas as much if not more than making them.

Love the new cushions, B! The mustardy color looks just perfect with the gray.

You know what they say about great minds....I did exactly the same thing with my ho-hum matching sofa pillows. A simple recovering job did the trick for me. Yours look fabulous. I love that you made-do with the fabric you had on hand. Way to be!

this is a great color combination. I thought of you today as I'm home without a vehicle and I'm giddy with excitement about it!

Love how your sofas are a traditional design in a modern color scheme! Your cushions compliment them perfectly. I totally get you on dreaming up ideas - i feel the same way.
